Early-Stage Lyme Disease typically refers to the first few weeks of infection when symptoms may include:

  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Erythema Migran/EM Rash (that may look like a “bull’s-eye”)
  • High temperature
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • General malaise
  • Neck stiffness
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle pain
  • Swollen lymph glands
  • Fatigue

It’s important to note that not everyone with Lyme Disease will develop all these symptoms, and the symptoms can also be mild or flu-like making it difficult to diagnose. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, especially if you have been in an area where Lyme Disease is common, it’s important to seek medical attention.
