Maintrac®: A New Paradigm in Personalised Cancer Support
Published on 24 June, 2024
Maintrac® is a revolutionary approach to cancer support, embodying the new paradigm of personalised medicine. Its primary goal is to monitor primary and secondary malignancies and to detect relapses before they can be detected through imaging, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of *chemotherapeutic agents and natural treatments for individual patients.
Maintrac® has been in use for over 20 years and is backed by numerous peer-reviewed publications in top medical journals.
There are three main types of tests available through Maintrac®:
1. Cell count: This measures the number of circulating epithelial tumour cells (CETC/CTCs) in 1 ml of the patient’s blood. It can be used as a tracker for disease activity, allowing practitioners to monitor the progression or remission of tumours of epithelial origin.
2. Cytotoxicity of conventional and natural agents: This test evaluates the cell-killing effect of conventional and natural agents on the patient’s CETC/CTCs. Combinations of remedies can also be tested, and results are given as a percentage. This helps physicians/practitioners to identify the most effective agents for their patients and avoid wasting time and resources on ineffective treatments.
3. Additional tests: Maintrac® can also be used to see whether the circulating cancer cells captured from a patient’s blood develop into cancer stem cells.
This information can help practitioners make informed decisions about the best course of therapy for their patients.
Maintrac® can help practitioners monitor the success or failure of therapy at any stage throughout the therapies, enabling them to find customised, personalised, and effective options for their patients.
However, it is essential to note that Maintrac® is not intended for diagnostic or screening purpose. By providing a direct indicator of the effectiveness of ongoing treatment, Maintrac® offers a new and effective way to help monitor therapy and support patients in their fight against cancer.
* Only by a registered medical practitioner or oncologist
Maintrac® testing can only be ordered by registered medical doctors or health professionals. If you are a patient, please contact your doctor or other health professional who will be able to order Maintrac testing on your behalf and help interpret results.
